RIP Jerry 5-27-2020

Emmett found Jerry dead tonight. We had just finished watching Bumblebee and then Ferdinand. We didn't finish until about midnight. Emmett went upstairs and Jerry wasn't moving. It's a sad night over here. Emmett thought Jerry's time was coming to an end. A couple of weeks ago, Emmett did a home in the backyard for Jerry's burial. Emmett did say, " I wonder how much a turtle is". I'm proud of him. I know this is hard for him. 💔

Greer was upset today because her brothers told her she is a different gender than they are. She said it hurt her feelings and they shouldn't have said that. 😢😂

6th Grade Continuation!

 Greer wrote the best mother's day song for me.  It's a little singing and little rapping. And she even included a blooper reel!

Picking out presents for my mother.

Trying to come up with a song for my mother.

Mud Room is Finished!

 

   The mud room is finished and I love it!  I'm hoping we will really use the big wall calendar.  Unfortunately, we did have a slight issue 2 days after we finished.  It seemed like the wood floor war warping just a little more each day as if it was getting water damage.  We looked EVERYWHERE, but couldn't find anything strange, so we just chalked it up to some "movement" due to the new tile.  But we did eventually hear a strange hissing sound...ran to the crawl space, and discovered water dripping all in the cral space and into the basement bathroom and into the storage room.  We hit a pipe with a nail from the nail gun and that little leak had been spraying for days and had flooded parts of the basement.  😩. All of that work and we had to tear into the walls and fix it.  ugh!  That was so deflating, but it is all fixed and we are back in business!
