Atticus is 10!

I can't believe Atticus is already 10, but then again, I can believe it because he has had to grow up so fast overnight.  Atticus is such a kind, tender-hearted person.  He is the first to go help someone when they are hurt and is the first to feel sad for someone when they have been hurt.  We often think of him as an "old soul".  He thinks deeper than most kids his age and wants to emotionally connect with others.  He looks out for others and wants everyone to be treated fairly.  He loves to hold your hand and snuggle.  He will be an incredible husband and father one day.  He is the first to offer to help if you look stressed or he has nothing to do.  He offers to help his teachers all the time.  "Is there anything I can do for you?"  It's just so sweet.  He would give all his money away just to see someone happy.  He loves Jesus and that is the best part of all.  He is so smart and blew us out of the water with his high test scores.  He never yells or loses his temper.  He is the same kind, responsible, thoughtful kid every single day.  He loves to ask questions and listen to any stories you have to tell all while snuggling up so close to you.  We love him so much.  He has taken on diabetes in the most amazing way.  We pray it will bring God glory.  He doesn't complain and he is so responsible.  He gives insulin when he needs to and eats sugar when he needs to, and most of the time, it is before we can even tell him to do it.  We are so proud of him.  When he was little he told me he couldn't wait to get married so he'd never have to sleep alone.  He loved to write his name Attikiss in preschool and talk about how he loves to kiss.  He even got in trouble in kindergarten for kissing girls on the playground.  People (especially teachers) tell me all the time how thoughtful he is to always try to help.  Since he began insulin, he has more energy than he ever has and he has never felt so good!  He is a justice fighter ready to right anyones wrong.  Love you so much, Atticus
