Almost there . . .

8 cm . . . we're almost there!

Nothing new. Big contractions. Will be checked again soon for dilation.

Hittin' the oxygen bar!

My heart rate got up to a lovely 140, so I got to hit the oxygen bar. The pitocin has been increased. We will know more at 9:00 mst.

Lovin' the Epidural!

The Doctor broke my water, but I'm still at 5 cm. So they are going to start some pitocin.

Lookin' Good

After feeling like I had some kind of a virus all day, I finally decided to call my doctor around 3:00 just to make sure everything was okay. I went in and I was 5 cm dilated, so they sent me over to the hospital. I got my epidural and now we're just waiting. More updates to come.

3 1/2 cm and...

no baby yet. My due date is Wednesday, and I'm on the induction wait list for the rest of the week. So, hopefully any day...
A few of Max's favorite things:
Buzz RightHere (AKA Buzz Lightyear)
Lightning The Queen (AKA Lightning McQueen)
Eleven (AKA Aladdin)
the Alphabet-
(Max loves his letters so much that we had to thank God for each and every one the other night. It sounded just like this, "Thank you for my A. Thank you for my B. Thank you for my C", etc.)

Happy Halloween!

Buzz and Woody

Happy Fall!

Happy Birthday, Cooper! Even though it is your birthday, you still can't take my cone!

The Fort

We have some big times on the fort!
Max set up the table and decided he was hungry. So, he got some rocks for chicken nuggets and a shovel for a fork as well as a drink with "fresh ice" that consisted of tiny rocks. He was quite proud of himself!

Atticus could do this all day.
This past weekend we went to see some friends who moved. They went to our church here, and now he is pastoring Highlands Reformed Presbyterian Church in Nebraska. We had a great time! The boys LOVED all the miles and miles of land to run around on. When it was time to leave, Max went and sat under a tree and said, "Can't go home. Need stay."

We are way excited about all the pumpkins everywhere!

Big Mountains

Max now has the best view in the house, and he loves it! We talk about the "big mountains" all the time. That is where Sulley and the dinosaurs go every night...behind the big mountains. One afternoon Max ran out of his room, lip quivering, saying, "big mountains gone!" He was trying so hard not to cry. I explained to him that it was just rain clouds coming in and covering the mountains.

Atticus' new room

Around mid-August, we moved the toddler bed into Atticus' room. He was pretty excited about it; although, initially it was really just a trampoline for Max to bounce Atticus off of.
After about a week of letting Atticus choose if he wanted to sleep in the crib or the toddler bed, he finally pointed to the toddler bed. He did great! Unlike Max, he doesn't want to play at ALL. He goes right to sleep. Max still likes to play for a while in his room before he goes to sleep, but Atticus is out in a matter of minutes.
Three weeks later, we officially moved Atticus into Max's old room.
He was pumped! He LOVES his new room and has already transitioned to the bottom bunk.
The toddler bed is gone, and Atticus still goes right to sleep. However, I did see him get out of bed last night and head over to the basketball goal. He literally shot some hoops for a little while, then got back into his bed and went to sleep.

Atticus' 1st haircut

Before
During
After. He did great! It was sad to see his cute curls going away.
On the way home. Atticus' new thing is to put his fingers in his ears and laugh because it sounds different. He really is easily amused.
Both boys back at home after their haircuts.
