The boys went hunting and as Greer always does, she spent her money to buy them each a little gift. But this time it was a funny gift...3 Barbie dolls from the dollar store. The boys thought it was pretty funny-and as she predicted, Emmett thought it was hilarious and immediately took all of her clothes off🤦♀️. Then he took apart her whole body. He put her head on a hot wheels fire truck and decided he would take it to the youth group white elephant exchange Christmas party. We talked him out of that and instead he bought a plunger , chocolate candy, and a movie from the dollar store ...Finding Phil. The irony of it all is that he came home all fired up about the white elephant gift he received....2 doll heads🤣🤣. Needless to say-even though he says he will "never be so nice as to take chocolate to that party again" -(since he got such a crappy gift), I do think the lesson has been learned.

It's 36 degrees, snow is on the way and no restaurants are open for indoor seating. BUT it's 21 years tomorrow since we tied the knot, and we found a restaurant with outdoor seating 😳So we are going to sit in the cold and celebrate!🥂 I wish I could do these 21 years all over again because it has been the best 21 years of my life. ❤️

After Atticus finally got one day back at school in person today, the middle school is going back to full time remote😩. He's had to be in quarantine 3 times and I was so excited he was getting to go back to school. Ugh! Hopefully he will get to go back on December 7th. He just doesn't get to see his friends as much when he is on remote learning. 😢. I'm in quarantine-teaching from home while my students are on school🤣

Covid. Ugh!
I get more calls from the school district than anyone else these days! Max is elearning for 2 weeks due to Covid, and Atticus is still in quarantine😩. Every. Single. Day. Another case and another quarantine.
Cocoa
When we saw Cocoa's picture come across our Facebook feed, we new we needed to adopt him. He was a stray in a shelter and they named him Chester. Three days later, he is ours:)

First day of high school😳
Wow. That went by so fast. And just like that Max is in High School. As I dropped him off, he said "Where should I go?" Oh I panicked for him. I texted him and told him to go hang out in his 1st period classroom. Ugh! Poor guy. But he had a good day. When I was in the parking lot, waiting to pick him up after school, I looked around at all the kids coming out. I kept looking for Max -thinking that one isn't him-that kid is in high school...oh another high schooler, I know that's not him. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks that knocked the breath out of me. HE is a high schooler! He is just like all these other kids coming out of the school...HE IS IN HIGH SCHOOL! 😢. So proud of him. He had a great first day. He found a friend at lunch to eat with and he found all of his classes ok and he's doing great!❤️

Greer:)
She wanted a camera for her birthday last year and she made sure it was charged so she could take pictures on our trip. She also bought her own wipes and hand sanitizer but she quickly hands it out to any of her brothers that might kind of look like they might possibly need some. Her nurturing side has come alive and she just takes care of her brothers. She even brought an extra snack for everyone (making sure to get each person their favorite snack) and an extra mask for her in her bag. She packed her own DVD player but brought each of the boys' favorite movie instead of just her favorites. She packs meticulously in advance with everyone else in mind. The boys have started calling her mom and letting me know Greer is already a better mom to them than me. 🤣🤣
