This^ is Atticus on Sunday at noon. This picture below is Atticus today (2 days later) at 2:00. We thought it was the flu. It was diabetic ketoacidosis. Atticus has Type 1 diabetes. This is scary and surreal for all of us. Atticus has cried a lot. He knows what this means. A different life for him now. But we are hopeful. God has gone before us and none of this is surprising to Him. We thank God that we made it in time and Atticus is getting help. The doctors said tonight would be a rough night. His glucose was 618 and it is down to 250. That is much better! But he still can't eat or drink and he wants to so bad- we've got a long night ahead of us. They will check his levels hourly and get him back to the normal range. Then we get to learn about insulin injections and a new lifestyle. Please pray for him and for us. We are at a great hospital with good doctors, but it is all so
overwhelming.

We had an epiphany this morning!!!! We were talking about something (I can't remember what-it's not important to the story) and Max said-"oh that's like Woody from Toy Story-where they say -'You're my favorite digadagoo'...or what's the word?" Deputy! It's Deputy! 10 years ago when Max called Woody Digadagoo....he was trying to say Deputy!

Emmett was the only one that wanted to do the snow dance Tuesday night, so he begged someone to join him. Greer did and thank goodness cause it worked!! Flush an ice cube down the toilet, tape a penny to the door, sleep with your jamas inside out, eat ice cream (really?!?!), and put the spoon you ate ice cream with under your pillow. Do all of these before you go to bed and we will get enough snow for school to be canceled the next day. I have to say, they don't do the dance very often, but school has been canceled every time they've done it๐ณ. Greer woke up and came down the hall and asked -in the quietest, most hopeful voice- "Did it work?" She's a believer now!
