Atticus is one month old here.
And I am showing you my belly button. Even though there are many body parts I can point out, my favorite one is the belly button!

JuJu came for a visit!
We did so many things together. We went for wagon rides,
and we opened presents like this great frog backpack from Mrs. Betty.
Of course, the gift bag was the most fun!
We went to the children's museum and played in the cave
and the grocery store,
but the main thing I wanted to do was play basketball!

Bath Time

Atticus had his first bath.
He actually did enjoy it.
But all (and I mean ALL) of the hair on top of his head was gone after the bath.
Max now enjoys dumping a cup of bath water right on his face!

On this particular day, I decided that I not only wanted to wear my hat inside but also as many bibs as could fit around my neck!
It appears that I am over my "Bye Bye Atticus" stage. For a little while there, I kept telling my mom and dad to just put Atticus in the swing. Then, they would play with just me, but now I love to climb up on my stool and look at Atticus in the crib. When I wake up from my nap, the first thing I want to do is run into Atticus room and make sure he is still there. Then I wave at him, and say, "Hi Attigatigatigaticus." (Yes, that is how he says it.)
I even ask to hold him.
Here, I am pointing out his body parts...such as his ear.
Now, I'm trying to reach his feet to tickle him. (poor Atticus)

smiling in my sleep
I got a new basketball goal today, and now my favorite word is "bask."

Playing with Atticus is fun . . . until he starts crying.
I realize my dad is a TAX attorney and all, but please tell me that's not all he sees in me!

I got "tagged"

I was "tagged" this week by my mom's dear friend Nikki (whose blog I need to add to the list on this page). So, here goes.
Rules:
1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
My list:
1. I hate getting my diaper changed. Even though I am now 18 months old, I have never had a single diaper changed without crying and sometimes throwing a fit. Surprisingly, my new little brother has yet to make a sound when getting his diaper changed...in fact, he often sleeps through the diaper changes. (Perhaps Atticus has my dad's personality!)
2. My parents thought I had long toes (much like my dad's toes, otherwise known as additional 10 fingers), until they saw Atticus' toes. (they even cross)
3. I have learned that when the house alarm beeps 3 short beeps, it means someone has left the house, at which time I immediately freak out and run to the nearest door to see who has abandoned me.
4. When I was just a little baby, I was obsessed with my swing. Now that I have a little brother, I am letting him borrow it in exchange for the bouncy seat.

5. I have learned that I have to wear my hat and sunscreen if I want to go outside. It has been so drilled into my head, that if anyone lets me outside without my hat and sunscreen, I freak out and point to my hat and sunscreen until both are put on me.
6. I quite enjoy talking on the phone for brief periods of time; however, no matter who I'm talking to, the only thing I say is, "Hi, Dad!" Apparently, my mom must talk only to my dad on the phone, because it doesn't matter who it is, I still think it is my dad.
7. I love to get all excited and shout, "Hey Mom!" or "Hey Dad!" whenever they walk in the room. The sad part is that I get so excited that I often get them confused and shout "Hey Dad!" when it is really mom who walked in the room.
8. I am very meticulous and determined about some things. We have several "rock beds" in our front and back yard with thousands and thousands of rocks. Anytime we go outside, I am determined to move all the rocks from one bed to another...one at a time. I will do this for hours on end.

A new game.

I have just discovered this portable phone and base. I found out that if you hit the button on the base, it makes the phone beep wherever it is. It didn't take me long to realize this could be a fun game. So, the game started with me hiding the phone, then pushing the button on the base, and then finding the phone I had hidden. It was at this point, that my parents thought I should be challenged a little, and they decided to hide the phone for me while I pushed the button on the base. The best part of the game is looking for the phone in Atticus' room while he's asleep! My parents particularly love it when I do that.

I had some serious fun with dad at Chuck E. Cheese.

So far, I'm not loving the swing quite as much as Max did.

Pediatrician Appointment Tuesday

Everyone was excited about going to see the doctor. Atticus was excited because he gained an ounce and is now up to 6lb. 8oz. And Max IV was excited because we weren't going to the doctor for him!
