This guy broke his big toe😢. A fire extinguisher at school fell on his ankle. 11.5 years and it's our first broken bone!  We took him to Urgent Care because he was in so much pain and was supposed to run in his first Cross Country meet the next day. Urgent Care said nothing was broken after the x-ray. But after a week of intense pain, we took him to his doctor. She told us the wrong x-ray was taken, so she ordered one of the top of his foot-thinking his foot was broken. It turns out it was his big toe...broken all the way down toward the top of his foot. So glad we know now, but wish we had known for the past week so we could have had him walking in the correct boot instead of his shoes.
