This guy loved camp! We picked him up today! We missed him all week, but he didn't miss us! He even put a handkerchief over his face when we got there to try to hide from us. He said he loved camp and he wished it was 2 weeks long and he can't wait for next year. So many counselors told us how much they loved Atticus and how sweet and tender-hearted he was to all the campers. They said there were quite a few homesick kids in his cabin, and he took care of those kids and loved on them. We are so proud of him! He didn't shower all week-which was obvious, but he took care of himself, his diabetes, and other kids too. We didn't get to visit him or email him this week-unlike Max's week. Even though both of the boys' camps were at the Navigators's camp, Atticus was a diabetes camp. It was such a blessing to know that Atticus's counselors at diabetes camp were the same Christian counselors
Max had. Looks like we've got a new summer tradition for Atticus. He said he thinks he might even want to be a counselor there one day too. ❤️
