We were having a discussion about orphans tonight, and how sad it is for them that they don't have parents and how we should pray for them to get parents. And in the completely male, non-emotional, non-empathetic way, Max IV says to me, "Yep, there are lots of orphans." As I often unsuccessfully do with my husband, I decided to try to "help" him find that emotional place deep, deep down in him. So, I say to him, "Wouldn't you be sad if you didn't have any parents?" And his response was (and I'm not kidding here people-this is what he really said), "Yeah, no money. I'd have no money." Unsuccessful again. He is a male...lacking emotions...even for his mom. Ha!
