All dressed up and no where to go?

nope. Sunday School. It's hard to believe that Max is old enough to go to his own Sunday School class. As sad as it is that he is growing up so fast, it is so exciting to get to see him learning Bible stories already. He has finally caught on to praying with his eyes closed and saying "amen" at the end, but he doesn't always wait until the end. The other day in church, our pastor started to pray and after about 5 words, Max shouted, "amen!"

Does your tree look empty?

Ever feel like you need a few more ornaments? Well, Max has the answer for you...rubber bands. Just get a handful of rubber bands and carefully place each one on the end of a branch.

Desperately trying for the Christmas card...

I thought a lollipop would entice Max to smile...
but that didn't work.
Atticus wouldn't quit sticking out his tongue.
Max is just seconds away from a meltdown.

Max is 2!

We partied all weekend!
All the grandparents came in town for the party.

"Cowboy" was our theme-even Atticus participated.

EVERYONE participated in "dress-up". Papa was a construction worker, and JuJu was a police officer.

"You mean this tree is going to STAY in here?"
"This very tree?"
"Awesome! I'll put some of my own decor on it...blocks"

Max's serious face. "Hey-I'm performing here!"

We finally got some snow and could actually pull out the winter sweaters.
Atticus looked at me for every picture,
but Max resisted.
I finally got one good fake smile from Max.

Dad is reading, apparently, a very interesting book.
Max is showing his "one moment of kindness" to Atticus by giving him a little "pat-pat".
Of course, his hand drifts over to Atticus' head for a little "pat-pat".
Atticus is now looking for someone to stop the "pat-pat" because he can't lean forward much more to try and avoid it.

Atticus' first word...

will it be mom or dad?
Poor Max...another injury. He has a busted lip from hitting our bed side table.

Atticus loves playing in the basket with his toys.Max even remembered how much he loved it and wanted to get in with Atticus...
which immediately led to fighting over a toy.
But we were all getting along after a few tense moments.
Atticus fell asleep in the Johnny Jump-up-so similar to Max once. I guess my parenting hasn't improved much.
We went Trick or Treating with Trip and Coop.
Things did not start out so well. Trip and Max ran right on into the first house we went to. They simply thought they should do what we always do when someone opens their door--go on in. Max trying to catch the cat at the house did not help either.

Needless to say, Atticus was exhausted. We had a lot of fun-even though it was VERY cold!
"Mask" (the proud way Max now says his name) loves to put a hat on and then go look at himself in the mirror.
